About Jeff : A Dream Designed & Crafted
For Jeff Nowell, founder & owner of Woodworks & Design, the idea for W&D was carved from a dream to design and craft high-quality, statement furniture pieces that people would enjoy and cherish for generations to come.
After graduating from Purdue University Northwest with studies in Computer Science and Architectural Design, Jeff began pursuing a number of entrepreneurial ventures and business ownership.
During this time Jeff began his journey into woodworking. With just a drill, a circular saw, and a bit of garage space what started as a hobby and an extra source of income while his family began to grow turned into a passion he couldn’t ignore. In 2010 Jeff completely pivoted away from his prior success to pursue his dream of founding a woodworking company focused on custom design and high-quality craftsmanship.
Jeff takes an enormous amount of pride in owning a woodshop and having a team of craftsmen. The smell of sawdust in the shop and the joy of seeing a project come together still light a fire for him. He looks forward to continuing a legacy of creativity, integrity, and beauty in all they do.
